Social-Emotional Learning

RESPECTFUL RELATIONSHIPS
The Respectful Relationships curriculum aims to embed a culture of respect and equality across our entire community to improve wellbeing. This program complements the social emotional learning explored through ‘The Resilience Project’.
All classes will engage in two wellbeing lessons per week. All year levels will also enjoy a Wellbeing half day of activities in the final week of each term.
THE RESILIENCE PROJECT
This year, RGLPS continues to partner with The Resilience Project (TRP), which is committed to teaching positive mental health strategies to prevent mental ill health and to build young people’s capacity to deal with adversity.
‘The Resilience Project’ focuses on explicit teaching around four key themes: Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness, and Emotional Literacy. Each student has their own personal Resilience Project Student Journal to complete activities.
SPECIAL DAYS AND EVENTS
Throughout the year, RGLPS students will also engage in learning activities to recognise special events such as Day for Daniel, ANZAC Day and Sorry Day.
