Important Reminders

COMMUNICATION
Classroom teachers work directly with your children and know the most about your child’s daily routine and classroom habits. If you would like to pass on any information or have any questions, please make sure that you contact your child’s classroom teacher/s first. You can make contact in person, call the school or email teacher/s through Compass. We specifically that request parents/carers use Compass, rather than Seesaw for general communication, to ensure teachers see messages in a timely way.
BRAIN FOOD & WATER
Teachers will provide a ‘Brain Food’ break daily around 10am. During this time, students are encouraged to eat a small, healthy snack, such as fresh or dried fruit or vegetables. Students are also requested to bring a water bottle to drink from throughout the day.
ITEMS BROUGHT TO SCHOOL
We request all items brought to school are clearly named. This includes clothing (especially hats, jumpers and jackets), food containers, lids and water bottles. Toys will need to remain in bags during class time as they can be distracting to learning.
FIDGET TOYS
Please note that children should not be accessing fidget toys during learning time unless a supportive letter from a medical professional has been provided to the school.
TISSUES
It would be greatly appreciated if all students could bring a box of tissues to share with the students in their grade at least once during the year.
LIBRARY
All students visit the school library weekly and can borrow books of their choice.
Prep students can borrow two books at a time. Year 1 - Year 6 students may borrow up to six books at a time.
Books are due to be returned/renewed within a fortnight, however students can borrow books to enjoy over the school holidays. All library books must be returned by the end of the school year, without exception.
Please remind your child to return their library books in a timely manner so they can make the most of their library borrowing privileges.
