Summit and Rubicon Camp

Year 7 Summit Camp
From Monday 30 March to Wednesday 1 April 2026, the Year 7 students enjoyed an unforgettable camp experience at The Summit. From the moment they arrived, students embraced every opportunity to challenge themselves, support one another, and step outside their comfort zones. Guided by The Summit’s “Five Keys” — Have Fun, Play All In, Make Lots of Mistakes, Get Uncomfortable, and Don’t Go Home Wondering ‘What If’ — students approached each activity with enthusiasm, courage, and determination.
Throughout the camp, students participated in a wide range of exciting activities including the Snowy River Challenge, Giant Swing, Laser Skirmish, Highwire, Orienteering, Cave and the Monster Course. Students worked together in tribes, creating strong team identities and celebrating “GMICs” (Great Moments In Camp) along the way. Day Two focused on resilience, mindset, and teamwork, highlighted by the demanding Monster Course where every group pushed through obstacles, fatigue, and mud to achieve impressive improvements in their second lap times.
The final day provided an opportunity for reflection and gratitude, with students recognising personal growth, teamwork, and the importance of supporting others. Each tribe selected a teammate who best embodied the camp values, with students such as Isaac, Oskar, Jolie, Charlotte, Evie, Max, Bridie, Dexter, Toby and Ruby recognised for their positivity, courage, and leadership throughout the experience. These students celebrated with a memorable victory lap aboard The Summit’s iconic Army Tank.
Congratulations to all Year 7 students for the energy, resilience, and positive attitude they displayed throughout camp. Thank you to the dedicated staff and coaching team who helped make the experience such a success. The camp was a fantastic opportunity for students to build confidence, strengthen friendships, and create memories that will stay with them for years to come.
8/9 Rubicon Camp
I recently had an awesome time with my friends when I attended the Year 8 and 9 Rubicon Camp. I got to go abseiling, white-water rafting, caving, mounting biking and orienteering. I really enjoyed the white-water rafting. It was challenging and super fun at the exact same time. I loved the camp. It made me push myself outside of my comfort zone. As well on top of this, the food was amazing, definitely the best food I’ve had on any camp. All the teachers and helpers were so nice. Overall, the camp made me make new friends and is a camp I will always remember.
