District Swimming Carnival Monday 23th February @ Northcote Aquatics

On Monday 33 students headed down to Northcote pool for the Ivanhoe District School Sports Association swimming carnival.

It was a great day, with the standard of swimming very high. Congratulations to all our swimmers that took part on the day, and an extra congratulations to Zoe T who won her 50m freestyle and butterfly and progressed through to the division championships next week.

From a parent.

"It was great to see the kids out having fun and representing IPS at the district swimming competition last Monday. A big thank you to James, Penelope and Sarah for making sure all the kids were at the end of the pool at the right time for the races given parents were in a separate section of the facility and unable to assist with this task. I’m not sure what information will be shared via the newsletter but I thought I’d share a photo of the boys who came third in the  12/13 boys freestyle relay. The boys (Santiago, Jackson, Alexander and Oliver) were very pleased with their result."
