Senior Design Students Dive into Creative Excellence at Sketching and Visualisation Workshop

Our Senior Design students recently had the exciting opportunity to participate in a full‑day Sketching and Visualisation workshop, held in the Cyprian Pavilion at Marist College. Running from 9:00am to 3:00pm, the incursion offered an inspiring and highly interactive learning experience designed to strengthen students’ creative and technical capabilities.

This hands‑on workshop forms part of our commitment to providing authentic, industry‑aligned learning that goes beyond the classroom. Throughout the day, students explored essential skills used by professional designers, helping them build confidence and capability in visual communication.

The atmosphere throughout the day was energetic and supportive, with students eagerly experimenting, collaborating, and pushing themselves creatively.

All workshop activities were aligned with curriculum expectations, ensuring students gained practical skills they can immediately apply to their upcoming design assessment tasks. The digital resources and techniques introduced will continue to support students as they refine their visual communication abilities across the year.

This enriching incursion not only strengthened students’ drawing skills but also encouraged creative problem‑solving, design thinking, and confidence in visual expression—key attributes for success in design pathways.

We commend the students for their enthusiasm and engagement throughout the workshop and look forward to seeing how they incorporate their newly developed skills into their future design work.

Technology Department Strengthens Vocational Pathways

The Technology Department continues to advance its vocational education offerings, with students progressing through the CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways. Recently, Bluedog Training delivered the mandatory White Card safety course on campus, providing students with essential knowledge for safe entry into construction environments.

Students participated with strong engagement and professionalism, demonstrating their readiness for industry‑aligned learning. The training covered workplace hazards, safe practices, and risk management—core competencies for anyone beginning work on a construction site.

We extend our thanks to Mr Garrick Dillon, our Bluedog Training liaison, for his expertise and support in delivering another successful session that contributes meaningfully to our accreditation efforts.
