Our Faith Journey
Welcome to our RE community — where faith is shared, lived, and celebrated together.
Mathew 17: 1-9
Jesus is transfigured on the mountain in the presence of Peter, James, and John.
When Jesus showed who He truly was before Peter, James, and John, they glimpse His divine glory — when have I experienced a “mountaintop moment” where I felt close to God, and how did it strengthen my faith?
The disciples are told, “This is my Son… listen to him.” What might Jesus be asking me to listen to more closely in my life right now?
Our Foundation students recently gathered for morning prayer, singing “My God is So Good”. A heartfelt thank you to Ms Rumble for leading the students in such a beautiful and meaningful way. At St Peter’s, prayer is central to our beliefs and is always engaging, helping our students connect with God in joyful and reflective ways.

Thank you to our Confirmation candidates and their families for attending and participating in the Information Session on 25th of February. The evening, held in preparation for the Sacrament, was very well received, with active participation from both parents and students. Your commitment to this important step in the Sacrament of Initiation, and the support and guidance you provide at home, play a vital role in nurturing your child’s faith journey as they prepare to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Thank you Fr Andrew and Mr Van Boxtel for your support.
During Lent, we focus on prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Our students, with Mini Vinnies, will take part in a Lenten Shoebox Appeal to support families in need in our local community.
Almsgiving invites us to share with generosity and compassion. By donating non-perishable food items — such as pasta, rice, canned goods, cereal, long-life milk, tea, or coffee — we are offering hope and living our faith through action. Please ensure items are within the expiry date and in good condition.
Students may bring their items to school, where Mini Vinnies leaders will collect and prepare the shoeboxes for donation.
You may wish to reflect at home:
Thank you for helping us nurture generous hearts and grow in compassion together this Lenten season.

We had a wonderful time on Friday the 27th of February, celebrating Lunar New Year at St Peter’s, sharing in the joy of new beginnings and the gift of community. A special thank you to Ms Monica for her beautiful dance to 'Spring Breeze', and to all the staff who helped make the event so memorable. We certainly do have talent at St Peter's - even the staff are so talented.
This celebration reminds us of our Catholic call to welcome, respect, and celebrate the gifts of all cultures, recognising the presence of God in our diverse community.

A heartfelt thank you to our two wonderful students, Aradhana and Anabel who generously gave their time and creativity to help decorate the hall for Lunar New Year. Events like this do not happen magically — they are made possible through the hard work, initiative, and generosity of students like you.
Your effort helped create a beautiful and welcoming space for our whole community to celebrate together. We are very proud of your contribution and the spirit of service you showed.
On Sunday, 15 March, our Year 5–6 students from St Peter’s are rostered to participate in the 9:00am Parish Mass, followed by hosting morning tea until 11:00am.
This is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the partnership between St Peter’s Primary School and St Peter’s Parish. Participation in Parish Mass is also a school and curriculum expectation, supporting the spiritual growth of our students and fostering a strong sense of Parish–School community. We kindly ask that parents accompany their children during the Mass. Please ensure students arrive by 8:50am so we can begin on time.
Families are warmly invited to bring a plate of food to share with parishioners. Please present your contribution on a disposable plate or in a clearly labelled container and deliver it to the parish hall before 9:00am.
Kindly ensure all food is nut-free.
A sincere thank you to Karen Decouto and Rejimon Abraham (Reji) for generously volunteering to coordinate the morning tea. We would greatly appreciate additional parent support in the kitchen to assist with serving and cleaning up.
If you have any questions or would like to let the coordinators know what you plan to bring, please contact them directly using the details provided below.
We look forward to gathering with our students and families for this special Parish and School celebration.
