Shine the Light

Foundation

The Foundation students have been learning about the School Value of Responsibility. The students first reflected on some of the responsibilities they have at home. It sounds like we have some wonderful helpers who are busy making beds, packing away toys, feeding pets and setting tables. The class explored some of the ways they can show responsibility at school, such as looking after their belongings and keeping the yard and classroom tidy.

Year 3

With Lent having begun this past Wednesday, the Year 3 students reflected on what they might give up or change during this Lenten season. We learned that making a Lenten promise helps us grow closer to God by encouraging us to help others, make sacrifices, and spend time in prayer.

Year 4 White

The students of Year 4 White have had a fantastic start to 2026. Some highlights in our classroom have included the SRC speeches, where  Syd Thomas and Maddison Cox were elected as the Semester 1 Captains. Students have also enjoyed decorating the class prayer cloth, eating pancakes, and seeing Mr Poly on TV, while still spending plenty of time engaged in Maths, English, and many other fun learning experiences.

Year 4 Blue

In 4 Blue, the students explored the school values of responsibility, respect and resilience by creating posters and class books. Students worked with their table partners to create thoughtful and visually engaging designs that reflected their understanding of each value.

Year 5 Blue

Today we undertook an Inform and Empower lesson online. We learnt that you should always have a strong password and log out of your account if it is on someone's else device. If you comment or post something online, it could be permanent.

In Japanese the students learnt about the year of the horse. They cut out their own horses and stuck them on coloured paper.

Year 6

The Year 6 students  are working on decimals - locating on a numberline, rounding, renaming and maths operations.  They enjoyed comparing the price per 100 grams of different chocolate treats to figure out which is the best value, rounded them and placed our results on a number line.
