Junior School Update

Dear Parents and Carers,
As we wrap up another wonderful year at Cobram AGS, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to everyone in our school community. It's been a journey filled with achievements and memorable moments.
First and foremost, I want to thank our incredible students for their hard work and commitment to their learning. To our parents and carers, your unwavering support for your children and our school truly makes a difference. Thank you for being our partners in education.
To our extraordinary staff, I am continually amazed by your dedication and the lengths you go to enhance the educational experience for our children. Nothing is ever too much for you, and your passion for teaching and supporting students shines through every day. I want to acknowledge that we will be saying goodbye to two valued staff members at the end of the year, Kate Lee and Brennan Mills. Kate has been an essential part of Cobram AGS for many years as a classroom teacher. She is incredibly knowledgeable, caring and has wonderful classroom management skills. I would like to thank Brennan for his year in the 3-4s, we are certainly going to miss his calm demeanour. Cobram AGS is incredibly grateful for the knowledge and support they have provided our staff and students, and we wish them all the best in their new endeavours.
At the start of 2026, Miss Chloe Anthony will be with us for a few weeks before she commences parental leave, as will Mrs Dakota Cox. They will be involved in supporting students and teachers as well as sorting out assessments for the new year.
The majority of students will commence back at school on Wednesday 28 January 2026, whilst the Foundation students will start on Thursday 29 January. Please keep an eye on SEQTA for updates like information pertaining to computers and their set up for 2026.
As we prepare for the Summer holiday season, I wish you all a wonderful break filled with joy, relaxation, and quality time with family. Take this time to rest and recharge as we look forward to an exciting 2026 filled with new opportunities for learning and fun. Thank you all for a fantastic year. Enjoy the holidays, and I can’t wait to welcome everyone back in 2026!
Mrs Fiona Clark,
Head of Junior School
Year 6 Graduation
Our Year 6 Graduation ceremony was truly something special! It was a wonderful day filled with pride, reflection, and celebration as we marked the completion of our students' primary school journey.
We are incredibly proud of the kind, curious, and capable young people our Year 6 students have become. Watching them grow throughout their time with us has been a privilege, and seeing them ready to take on their next adventure is both exciting and bittersweet.
A heartfelt thank you to all the parents and families who joined us for this milestone event. Your unwavering support throughout your children's primary years has been instrumental in shaping these wonderful students into who they are today. We are so grateful you could celebrate alongside us.

1/2 Nativity Play
Last week, our Year 1/2 students took to the stage to present their Nativity play, delighting the school community and the many family members who came along to watch. Students delivered their readings with clarity and confidence, and moved seamlessly across the stage with excellent timing. Their commitment to memorising their lines and movements throughout rehearsals was clear to see, and their hard work truly paid off!
A big congratulations to our Year 1/2 students for a wonderful performance, and a sincere thank you to our Year 1/2 teaching team for their time, organisation and creativity in bringing this special production to life. It was a beautiful way to celebrate the end of 2025 and showcase the confidence, teamwork and storytelling skills of our young learners.
End of Year Excursions
Our F-6 students have celebrated the end of school in style, visiting the Barooga Sporties and/or catching a film at Cobram Cinema! The students had a great time winding down with their peers and teachers.
