Introducing Our New Student Leadership Structure for 2026 and Beyond
We are excited to announce a refreshed Student Leadership Framework that will take effect from 2026.
Our new Student Leadership Framework will provide more of a pathway for students to participate so they can grow as leaders from Year 7 through to Year 12.
This new structure is designed to provide students with more meaningful opportunities to lead, represent their peers and contribute to our school community in a variety of ways.
The updated framework introduces two tiers of leadership:
- Executive Student Leadership Team – comprising of our School Captains, Intermediate Captains and Junior Captains, who will oversee the wider Student Leadership Team, lead whole-school initiatives, represent student voice and develop the capacity of other leaders.
- Student Leadership Team – made up of House Captains, International Captains, Student Representatives and Year 7 Form Captains, who will actively drive school events, fundraising activities and community projects, while promoting House spirit and student engagement across all year levels.
The new framework provides various leadership opportunities across the school and these leaders will work together, strengthen collaboration between Houses and year levels, while ensuring every student voice has a platform to make a meaningful impact within the school community.
Executive Student Leaders:
- School Captains – 4 x Year 12 students
- Intermediate Captains –3 to 4 x Year 10 students
- Junior Captains – 3 to 4 x Year 8 students
Student Leadership Team:
- International Student Captains – 2 x Senior International students
- House Captains – 2 x Year 12 students per House
- Student Representatives – Approximately 30 students from Years 8–12
- Form Captains – 1 x Year 7 student per Form
The election process for Junior & Intermediate Executive Leaders is already underway. The Year 12 House Captain selection process will occur during the Year 12 Camp at the start of 2026, while opportunities for Student Representatives (Year 8-12) and Year 7 Form Captains will open in Term 1 next year. More information regarding these opportunities, role descriptions and application processes will be shared with students at a later date.
With this new structure, we are building a more inclusive, connected, and student-driven leadership culture — one that empowers students to make a real difference in their school and community.
We look forward to seeing our 2026 student leaders embrace these roles with enthusiasm, creativity, and pride.
