Early Learning Centre

3-Year-Old Kindergarten
As we reach the end of the school year, we celebrate each student and all they have achieved throughout the year. It is hard to believe that this year is already over. What a wonderful year it has been, full of joy, curiosity, and learning.
The children have developed socially, emotionally, and academically, and built strong positive friendships with one another. As we reflect on the year, we acknowledge the way the children have grown in confidence, independence, and their sense of identity and belonging.
We would like to thank each parent and family for entrusting your children to us throughout the year. We are very grateful to all of our families, helpers, and community partners for contributing to such a joyful and memorable year in the ELC.
We wish you all a wonderful, safe, and refreshing school holiday break, and look forward to seeing you in the new year!
Mrs Alyssa Cairns, ELC Teacher
4-Year-Old Kindergarten
As we reach the end of a wonderful year together, we wanted to share some final highlights from the past few weeks. The children have been busy making their last refinements in fine motor, cognitive, and school readiness skills, and we are so proud of their progress.
The children revisited the days of the week, explored the map of Australia, and learned about states, territories, and Australian animals. Their curiosity and engagement have been wonderful to witness.
In numeracy, the children have been practising simple addition and subtraction equations, and we have been continually impressed by how much they know—and how confidently they are beginning to work independently.
Last week, the children attended their final Prep transition session, returning with excitement and readiness for the next chapter. They also visited the G-Block Gym to rehearse on stage in their costumes for Wednesday’s concert. Everything is coming together beautifully, and we cannot wait for you to see their performance.
A warm thank you to Shanai (Bentley’s mum) for generously giving her time to help us on Wednesday mornings throughout the term. I especially want to thank our wonderful ELC families who have generously spared their time and contributed donations to the ELC fundraiser. Your support has truly made a difference, and the ELC sees and deeply appreciates your kindness and generosity.
As we wrap up the year, we want to acknowledge the growth, achievements, and resilience each child has shown. It has been a privilege to watch them learn, wonder, and flourish. Have a well deserved break and Merry Christmas to you.
