What an exceptional concluding week we enjoyed as a school community! My huge congratulations to everyone for culminating the 2023 school year on such a positive note.
The Old Fashioned Sports Carnival, blessed with perfect weather at last, proved to be a resounding success. Laughter echoed as students skipped, hopped, nut-bushed their way through the morning, with Berry House emerging as the ultimate champions. The Berry dominance extended to another triumph in the Junior House (Y7-9) Jelly Eating competition. Though protests persist, early indications suggest Laidlaw may have clinched victory in the Seniors (Y10-11) category. Following these spirited competitions, students from both campuses gathered for lunch and a very moving final assembly, bidding farewell to departing staff and students.
Our dedicated staff brought their year to a close with a comprehensive day focused on first aid, planning, and preparations for the upcoming 2024 school year. The last day is always a blend of emotions as we eagerly anticipate welcoming new staff while also bidding farewell to cherished colleagues and friends.
I extend warm wishes to all our College parents, students, and friends for a safe, joyous, and peaceful Christmas and holiday season.
To our departing families and students – a heartfelt thank you for all your contributions. Whatever endeavors you pursue, give it your very best, and may happiness accompany you every step of the way.
To our returning and new staff, students, and families, we eagerly anticipate deepening our connection with you and embarking together on the journey of the 2024 school year. Exciting times lie ahead!
