2024 School Council

Dear Parents, 

Welcome to the 2024 school council. School council is an opportunity for parents to have their voice heard on major school decisions, upgrades, changes and general day to day goings-on at our school.  Council is made up of parents from all sorts of backgrounds as well as school staff and the principal. There are no special requirements for parents to join, other than a commitment to making our school the best it can be. 

During my time on school council, we have overseen the introduction of our new school vision - Empowering Global Citizens. We have worked with teachers on the development of our new homework policy and processes, which commenced last year, and we have endorsed our school's teaching and learning plan. 

When you take a wander around the school, you'll see any number of projects that school council has planned, overseen or requested occur.  These include our playgrounds, basketball courts, freshly painted classrooms, landscaping, lighting, gardens and the list goes on... 

Shortly we will be asking parents to nominate for school council, and we would really like to see some new faces join some existing members of council.  For a school of over 300 students, we certainly do hope there are at least a handful of parents willing to give some time towards making the school, and school community we all benefit from, as good as it can possibly be.
