Discovery Centre

Highlight

A highlight in Foundation this week was our Gingerbread Day! Students enjoyed designing and creating their very own edible house, inspired by a traditional Gingerbread House. They worked hard to stir, spread, stack and decorate their house before eating it. As you may already know, in the Discovery Centre, we LOVE making puppets and performing our own stories! As a part of our day on Tuesday, we also created puppets to match the classic “Gingerbread Man” story.

On Wednesday we began our three day Step-Up Week program. Students were introduced to their 2024 Year One teacher and class, spending the three days getting to know one another and complete a range of activities in their 2024 classroom. We were incredibly proud of the way they took the experience in their stride and had a great time together. We are looking forward to a few days of reconnection and celebration in Week 12 before the summer holidays.
