Staffing arrangements at OSHClub will be changing in Term 1, 2024. I will be moving into a new role and will no longer be working as the Coordinator at OSHClub. New staffing arrangements are in the process of being finalised.

It has been so wonderful to have been part of the Mount Pleasant Road Primary school community as the coordinator here at OSHClub over these past years. I'm not at all biased when I say that the children that have attended OSHClub over the years have all been amazing! I wish everyone a relaxing and enjoyable summer holidays and a happy new year!

Foundation Family OSHC Webinar

At OSHClub, we are excited to be hosting a special webinar event for Prep families starting primary school in 2024.

Topic: How OSHC can support child development and transition to school

Who: Hosted by Junior Adventures Group (OSHClub), featuring Robyn Monro Miller (Play Australia CEO) and Melinda Crole (JAG Australia CEO)

When: 12th December & 24th January (6:00pm, 8:00pm, 10pm AEST)

Summary:

Gain exclusive insights on preparing your child for primary school and discover the benefits of OSHC. This webinar will feature ‘play’ expert Robyn Monro Miller, Play Australia CEO, who will provide an explanation of what ‘play’ is and how important it is for child development. Robyn will also provide handy hints to support families to prepare for school, and how OSHC can help with the nervous transition.

Early School Finish

We are running an extended after school session on Wednesday 20 December 2023.

The session will run from school finish to 6.00pm at the cost of $52.20

Holiday Program - Thursday Dec 21st

We will be running a full day program on Thursday 21st Dec.

The session will run all day from 7.00am to 6.00pm at the cost of $69.50 (before any applicable Child Care Subsidy).

How to book: Please log in to your account online at www.oshclub.com.au and book in under the Pupil Free Day Room.

Please note that online bookings close on Dec 16th. For any late bookings or changes, please call us on the program phone (0427144945).

What to bring: Please bring morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Please also make sure your child has a sun smart hat for outdoor play. We have Coles brand sunscreen on hand. Children are welcome to bring their own if preferred.

Please also note the following:

All regular Before and After School Care bookings have been removed.
7 days’ notice is required for cancellation of the Pupil Free Day, to ensure you will not incur out of pocket costs.
A $4 late booking fee applies for bookings made within 5 days of the session commencing.

Summer Holiday Program - 8th - 25th January

Booking are now open for our Summer Holiday Program.

How to book: Please log in to your account online at www.oshclub.com.au and book in under Vacation Care.

Please note that online bookings close 5 days in advance of a session starting. For any late bookings or changes, please call us on the program phone (0427144945).

What to bring: Please bring a morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack. Please also make sure your child has a sun smart hat for outdoor play. We have Coles brand sunscreen on hand. Children are welcome to bring their own if preferred.

Sun Smart Policy

As the weather warms up, our afternoon program begins to move outdoors more often. As school hats generally need to be kept in classroom tubs, please make sure your child has a spare sun smart hat for OSHClub in their school bag. We have Cancer Council and Coles sunscreen on hand but children are welcome to bring their own if they wish. Hats and sunscreen will be worn when the UV rating is at 3 or above.

Drop off/Pick up

Parents/ guardians are required to sign children in for Rise and Shine sessions and sign children out of Stay and Play sessions using the service iPad. Please ensure you are coming to the room when dropping your children to Rise then Shine or holiday program. Please do not let them walk by themselves.

Please note: CRN numbers and all birth dates must be entered correctly if you wish to claim the Child Care Subsidy. CCS applications are submitted automatically to Centrelink when new enrolments are actioned.

Bookings

Online bookings for Rise then Shine and Stay and Play sessions close 24 hours in advance. Online bookings for the Holiday Program and Curriculum Days close 5 days in advance.

If online bookings have closed, and you would like to make or cancel a booking, please SMS the program phone on 0427 144 945.

Cancellation of Bookings

IMPORTANT: If your child is booked in for an afternoon Stay and Play session and that booking is no longer required, please cancel the booking on the iParent Portal. If you are cancelling on the day, please contact us on the program phone before 3:15pm.

We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.

As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!
