Co-curricular - Senior Sport

Annual House Swimming Carnival

The Secondary House and Age Championships will take place Wednesday 21 February at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre (SOPAC). This is a normal school day, and all students are expected to attend, irrespective of their swimming capabilities. If a student is not present on the day, they will require a medical certificate to explain their absence.

Passion and Perspective

One of the best parts of St Patrick’s College is the passion from the students, teachers, coaches, and parents/carers. As the Head of Sport, I would never want to go against this. However, our goal should always be striving to win and striving to get better every week, rather than just a goal of purely winning. Having a goal of purely winning means that team selections, the division a team plays in, and refereeing decisions will heavily affect our goal. Having a goal to strive to win and strive to get better every week is a large step towards eliminating things that are out of our control. Please keep this in mind with the upcoming matches so that we can focus our passion in the most positive way possible.
