Welcome back for yet another exciting year of learning.  I hope you all had a restful break and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

For the new families that have joined our learning community in 2024, I would like to introduce myself.  My name is Annette Gasbarro and I am the Religious Education Leader as St Fidelis. I look forward meeting you all in the coming weeks. You can contact me on agasbarro@sfmoreland.catholic.edu.au

Ash Wednesday/Beginning of School Year Mass

As a Catholic school community, we will be celebrating mass on Wednesday 14th of February at 9.00am at St Fidelis' church.  We invite all parents and carers to join us as we celebrate this special event.

Buddy Mass:

Our Year 6/Foundation Buddy Mass will take place on Sunday the 3rd of March at 11.00am at Fidelis churchThis is a great opportunity for our new and existing Foundation families to come together and celebrate the beginning of our children’s learning journey.  This is a time for Foundation parents to meet their child’s Year 6 buddy.

Reconciliation:

This year, the Year 3 children will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  The Sacrament of Reconciliation also known as the Sacrament of Confession is a Sacrament instituted by Jesus in his love and mercy to offer forgiveness for the times we have made poor choices and have turned away from Jesus. The Year 3 children, parents and carers will engage in an online workshop on Thursday 14th March at 7.00pm.  Maria Forde will facilitate this workshop.

Reconciliation celebration: The reconciliation celebration will take place on Thursday the 21st of March at 7.00pm at St Fidelis Church.

God bless and have a great week,

Annette Gasbarro

Religious Education Leader.
