This week in Writing we are learning how to write a persuasive text.


VOCABULARY

Persuasive: A text that persuades someone to do or believe something.

 

Opinion: A belief or judgement that someone thinks is true.

 

Reason: An explanation or justification for why someone thinks or does something.

 

Introduction: The beginning part of a story or essay where the writer introduces the topic.

 

Elaborate: To explain or give more details about something in a thorough and clear way.

 

Conclusion: The ending part of a story or essay where the writer summarises the main points or gives a final thought.

Lots of people love going on holiday, but which is the best place to visit? 

 

Think of a place that you really like going to or somewhere that you would love to visit. You can even think about an imaginary holiday destination.

 

Write to convince a reader that your choice is the best place to go on holiday.
