Changes to Kildare Campus Bus Service
We have been working closely with David Ind from Newtons Bus Service, who has been strongly advocating in collaboration with Peter Walsh MP, for an extension to the current Echuca and Moama town bus networks to include Kildare Campus. We are also in negotiation with Dysons Buses for an extension to the NSW Country bus service.
While we remain confident these extensions will occur, the process is taking longer than we'd hoped.
We believe all students should have access to reliable and safe transport to school and we will continue to offer a shuttle service between the two campuses until the route extensions are finalised and operational. However in the meantime, it is not financially viable for us to continue funding this service.
From Term 2 2024, we will transition to a fare paying service for students wishing to catch the shuttle bus from Brigidine Campus to Kildare Campus.
We are still finalising the details of this new system, however the fare is anticipated to be less than a normal town bus fare (around $1 per trip) and will operate as a tap-on/tap-off service.
A conveyance allowance is available for families who reside more than 4.8km from Kildare Campus.

More detailed information will be communicated to families via Compass in the coming weeks.

ANZ Saver Program
To assist families in easing into the new school year, ANZ is introducing the Saver Plus Back to School Campaign. Under this initiative, families can benefit from a matching contribution from ANZ by committing to save up to $50 per month for 10 months, with ANZ matching it up to $500. This financial boost can be utilised towards education expenses for both individuals and their children.
Saver Plus, designed for individuals on lower incomes, aims to enhance their financial capabilities, enabling them to cultivate and maintain sound saving habits. Since its inception in 2003, Saver Plus has empowered over 58,000 individuals to embark on a savings journey. It has notably addressed the challenges associated with educational expenses and an impressive 85% of past participants have reported feeling better equipped to navigate environmental changes, such as fluctuations in living costs or unforeseen bills, after completing the Saver Plus program.
ANZ, in collaboration with the Brotherhood of St Laurence, has developed Saver Plus, with Berry Street serving as the proud delivery partner for the program in your school's area.
