SRC Introduced to the College

On Wednesday 6 March, the 2024 Student Representative Council (SRC) was formally introduced to the College and received their badges at the College assembly.

Our hope is that all students seek out their SRC representatives and bring up any suggestions or issues the SRC can assist with.

Leadership Development

On Tuesday 26 February, members of the SRC were invited to attend the Secondary Youth Leadership Conference at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. At the conference, they had the opportunity to meet members of leadership from different schools in Western Australia, listen to many inspirational speakers and learn about empathy, leadership and making the most of opportunities. Well done to the SRC for representing the College.

Below are some student comments about the Secondary Youth Leadership Conference:

The conference was a day filled with many opportunities and inspiration. There were a lot of motivational speakers filled with great wisdom, but Gerath stood out the most. Gerath was an inspirational man to young boys who often neglect mental health. He was a wise and inspirational speaker and I am glad to have the opportunity to hear him speak - Euclid Hutahaean (Year 10)

The conference was a great experience, I learnt so much and was inspired by the speakers. We learnt about belonging, taking a chance, confidence, making choices, and helping others. Today was really fun and educational and I am glad to have had such an experience - Chhavi Chavan (Year 12)

The conference was a great experience that inspired me and changed my perspective and understanding of what leadership is and how I can be a better leader in the community. We learnt the importance of taking an opportunity, facing our fears and learning to lead ourselves first. Overall, I am grateful to be part of this conference and learn better leadership skills - Agna Aji (Year 12)

The conference was a memorable day to spend with my fellow peers from the SRC. Prior to the excursion, I did not know what to expect. However, after listening to inspiring individuals who courageously shared their stories and encouraged us to mingle with the other schools, I honed my leadership and communication skills more today - Georgette Guinto (Year 11)

Year 7 Amazing Race

On Thursday, 21 March, the Year 7 Social will be held in the Fr Peter O'Reilly Centre. It is always a fun evening and all Year 7 students are invited to attend. Year 7 parents and guardians are asked to check their emails for the invitations from Consent2Go.
