Science Experiments โœจ๐Ÿ”Ž๐Ÿ’ก

Our Year 2 students have been busy little scientists this term, exploring the forces around us! ๐ŸŒโœจ In science, they investigated gravity by creating their very own DIY toy parachutes ๐Ÿช‚. Students carefully designed and tested their parachutes, observing how air resistance works against gravity to slow them down. It was wonderful to see the excitement on their faces as they experimented, shared predictions, and compared results. The activity not only sparked curiosity but also encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity. Well done, Year 2! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ”ฌ

Stage 1 had an amazing adventure at Centennial Parklands this term! Students explored the great outdoors while taking part in mud mapping ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ, pond netting ๐Ÿธ, and spotting fascinating wildlife. They were thrilled to see flying foxes ๐Ÿฆ‡ in action and even caught a glimpse of a possum ๐Ÿพ. The excursion was a wonderful opportunity for hands-on learning, teamwork, and connecting with nature. Our Stage 1 explorers returned with big smiles and lots of stories to share! ๐ŸŒžโœจ

Maths Work ๐Ÿงฎ

๐Ÿงฎ Stage 1 students have been busy little mathematicians this term! โœจ Weโ€™ve been learning all about sharing โž— and area ๐Ÿ“. Students practised fair sharing by dividing objects into equal groups and discovering what it means to share things evenly ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿช. We also explored area by covering surfaces with blocks, counters and paper shapes to find out which spaces are bigger or smaller ๐Ÿงฑ๐ŸŸฆ. It has been so much fun working together, solving problems, and discovering new maths skills along the way! ๐ŸŽ‰
