Dear Parents and Caregivers,
What a busy and rewarding term it has been at GVPS! Our students have shown incredible dedication and enthusiasm through explicit teaching and hard work across all areas of learning.
A highlight of the term was our wonderful celebration of reading during Book Week in Week 5. The Book Character Parade was a fantastic event, with students and staff dressing up as their favourite characters and sharing their love of stories. It truly brought our school community together in a joyful celebration of literacy.
In the performing arts, our students have been given amazing opportunities to shine. The Ignite Cowpasture Creative Arts showcase in Week 5 was a spectacular display of talent and creativity. We are also looking forward to the upcoming Western Liverpool Festival of Performing Arts, where our students will continue to develop and share their skills.
Our second ‘Donuts with Dad’ event was a huge success, with hundreds of families coming together to celebrate Father’s Day. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and hear the laughter as dads and children enjoyed this special morning.
In Week 7, GVPS proudly acknowledged SASS (School Administrative and Support Staff) Week. Our dedicated team of 13 SASS members work tirelessly in offices, classrooms, and grounds, providing invaluable support to our teachers, students, and families. Their hard work and commitment are essential to making our school function so smoothly, and I’m sure you will join me in thanking them sincerely for all they do.
As we approach the end of the term, let’s keep up the great effort and enthusiasm right up until the holidays.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
