Foundation
What a wonderful week it has been in the Foundation class this week. With a bunch of testing done mid term, it is mind blowing the gains that these children have made in their reading. You should all be so very proud of your child. As well as their English and Maths, our Inquiry unit continues on, looking at the weather and how rain forms and how we need rain to sustain life on Earth.
Year 2/3
Hi Familes,
A GREAT week was had by all. Some of the highlights was the Religion lesson where children used their senses: sight, touch, taste, feel and hear with items to make connections to God. Please enjoy the photos. Another highlight was your class assembly and all the information gathered in Inquiry.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Year 3/4 - Book Week
Everyone had such a great time during Book Week last week! Rosetta organised some excellent activities for us. On Monday we watched a virtual performance called Treasure Hunt. At times throughout the performance we were able to participate by asking and answering questions. The children were very engaged and enjoyed the performance.
Our Book Week parade was a hit, just in our class alone we had superheros and villians, Harry Potter characters, Rock Paper Scissors, Taco, Ann of Green Gables, Messi and Darth Vader. It was great to see the effort everyone went to to dress up in book characters.
The Senior Students
Inquiry Learning
It has been another busy yet enjoyable week in Year 5/6.
Students this week have begun locating and recording information about a topic they have chosen in our Earth and Space Science unit. This followed on to using this information, and presenting it in a way they would like to, such as a PowerPoint presentation or in a quiz. It has been great to see the students developing their researching and paraphrasing skills.
Here are some photos to show you some of the topics students have loved learning more about this term!!
