Principal News

.Dear Sacred Heart Community,

Rivers of Your Peace

A Prayer for World Peace

Loving God,

You are the source of all peace and hope.

Pour out your rivers of peace upon our world.

Heal hearts divided by conflict, guide leaders with wisdom,

and help us to be peacemakers in our school, families, and community.

May your love flow like a gentle river,

bringing justice, kindness, and unity to all nations.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Premier's Reading Challenge 2025

Only a week left readers! This week we add Roman, Stephanie, Ella, Brenton, Henry, Dharshi and Ezra to the roll-call of amazing students who have finished the Challenge. Please enter your final books by next Wednesday, September 3 in readiness for the Friday, September 5 completion date.

Amazing Scholastic Book Fair!

A big thank you to Rosetta for organising our Book Fair, and to Prem, Trang, and all the other parents who helped set up and run it throughout the week.

It has been wonderful to see our children so excited as they purchased books, stationery, posters, and more. Their joy and enthusiasm have made the Book Fair such a special event for everyone!

Don’t forget, the last day of the Book Fair will be Monday, 1st September, there’s still time to find a treasure to take home.

2026 Foundation Orientation

We are so excited to welcome our 2026 Foundation students for their first orientation day on Thursday, 4th September. The children will join in two fun-filled groups:

  • Group 1: 9:20 am – 10:50 am
  • Group 2: 11:45 am – 1:15 pm

Our Orientation is a wonderful chance for our new students to explore the classrooms, meet new friends, and start their Sacred Heart journey in a happy and welcoming environment.

School Review

Next Tuesday, 2nd September, we begin the first stage of our School Review with Craig Tanner. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to reflect on our achievements as a school, celebrate what we do well, and consider ways we can continue to grow and improve together.

During this first session, Craig will meet with myself and the leadership team, take a tour of the school, and work with us to plan what the main review days will look like.

The full review will take place the following week, on Monday 8th September and Tuesday 9th September.

Across these two days, Craig will:

  • Meet with staff, some families, and our student leaders
  • Visit classrooms to see the wonderful learning happening at Sacred Heart
  • Engage in conversations that will help shape the future directions of our school

Our school review is an exciting opportunity to celebrate all that we have achieved together and to ensure we continue building the best possible learning environment for our students.

We are especially grateful to our families, whose ongoing support, feedback, and encouragement help make Sacred Heart the warm, happy and vibrant community it is. Whether it’s through conversations, attending events, volunteering, or simply being partners in your child’s learning, your contribution is central to the life of our school. Thank you for walking alongside us as we continue to grow together.

Have a great weekend!

Warm regards,

Antoniette
