Year 7 Space Dome Incursion

On Tuesday 26 August, Year 7 students took part in the Space Dome incursion as part of their Sun, Earth and Moon unit for Science. In preparation, students had already learned about topics such as the seasons, eclipses, moon phases, day and night, and the planets of our Solar System.

The Space Dome offered an immersive and interactive experience that enriched their understanding of these concepts and sparked a sense of awe and curiosity. This unit of learning is linked to the MECS Thread of Awe Dweller—encouraging students to marvel at God’s creation and reflect on His creativity.
