Brain Bee Competition

The Australian Brain Bee Competition is a highly competitive neuroscience competition for Year 10 students around the country wishing to excel and test their knowledge of the brain and related conditions. It is run by the University of Melbourne, The Florey and Australasian Neuroscience Society.

After being selected from the first round, Eve Hodge and Harini Vajjursanthanam were invited to  the Victorian State Final at the University of Melbourne. Around 20 schools attended this event, each with two to five students. The day involved tours of educational university-exclusive museums within the campus and laboratory insights, among lectures from PhD candidates and neuroscientists detailing their findings in the field of neuroscience and medical developments.

Thank you to Ms Sarah Scaramozzino (Science Domain Leader) for accompaning the students tothe University of Melbourne.
