Blue Class has had another exciting and busy few weeks of learning!

In English we have been focusing on improving our writing by using correct grammar, adding speech marks, and making sure we use Proper Nouns correctly. For example: Jack said, “I can’t wait to explore the cave.” Our spelling lessons have centred on words with silent letters, and students are becoming more confident at spotting and using these tricky words in their writing.

In Maths, students have been working on converting between percentages, decimals, and fractions. For example, they have learned that 50% = 0.5 = ½. We have also been practising converting different units of length and time such as changing 2 metres into 200 centimetres or working out that 90 minutes equals 1 hour and 30 minutes.

In Art, the class is busy designing an artwork for the Wild at Art competition. Their creativity is shining through and the pieces are already looking incredible. Watch this space for their finished masterpieces!

In Geography with Mrs Wheeler, students are learning about Asia. Each student has chosen a country to research and is preparing a presentation to share with the class. We are looking forward to learning from each other’s findings.

We kindly ask families to continue reading with your child every day, even 10 minutes a night makes a big difference! Please also support them in practising their times tables to build speed and confidence in Maths.
