Literacy

During reading sessions, students have been looking at texts about Sustainability and have had opportunities to learn new vocabulary. During writing sessions, students have been learning to write a persuasive text about getting recycling bins for the school. The students are able to form an opinion, and identify 3 supporting reasons. The Grade 4 students have been working on their letters to their big buddies. They were lucky enough to visit their big buddies in their workplace last week.

In phonics sessions, we have been reviewing learnt graphemes and introduced morphology. Students have been learning about the prefixes 'un-' meaning not or the opposite of e.g. undo, unhelpful, unhappy, and 'pre-' meaning before.
