What We’ve Been Up To in Year 1/2!

Coding - Bee Bots and Blue Bots

We have been having lots of fun learning about coding by programming Bee Bots and Blue Bots. These floor robots can be controlled using simple directions and sequences, helping us explore the basics of programming in an engaging and hands on way.

Writing

We have been learning about rhythm and rhyme. Students have been busy brainstorming rhyming pairs to write their own couplet poems, and we have discovered some very creative writers!

Science – Push and Pull

Students have been learning about the forces of push and pull. They are exploring how ramps and levers can be used to move toy cars, experimenting with different designs to see how speed and distance are affected.
