Buildings and Grounds Update & Survey

As we approach the end of the year, we can reflect on many projects completed and even more to come to ensure our school facilities provide the best possible environment for our students to learn and thrive.

The first quarter of the year was spent surrounding by scaffolding as our beautiful new roof (and the internal repairs) were completed.

Since then we have been challenged by losing access to our Kitchen Dining Room and Art Room as emergency building works have been taking place.

In the coming months we will be proceeding with;

  • both of our basketball areas being resurfaced
  • new basketball backboards
  • new gates at the school to make our school more secure
  • new water bubblers around the school
  • the completion of our brand new kitchen dining room and art room
  • Our Year 2 classrooms being remodelled to provide more learning space for our students

Despite this, progress, we are really keen to gather the views of our community to help us prioritise future projects and to work towards an even better physical environment at SKiPPS. Our Buildings and Grounds sub-committee have put together a short survey to understand;

  • which areas of the school you love?
  • which parts are underused?
  • which areas need improvement?
  • your opinion on our playing areas?
  • what facilities would you love your children to have access to at SKiPPS?

We would love you to take 5 minutes and click on the link below and share your views. This information will then be collated by our sub-committee as we create a future masterplan for how we can take our school to the next level!
