Grade 6 Spanish Class Update: ¡Aprendiendo con Mapas y Cómics!

In Grade 6 Spanish, students explored how to describe locations with prepositions and cardinal points. To put their knowledge into practice, they created bird’s-eye view maps of towns or neighbourhoods, labelling places in Spanish and using sentences to describe the locations. By locating each place with phrases like “al norte de” (to the north of) students honed their language and spatial awareness skills in a creative way.

Students also crafted comic strips with dialogues in Spanish. They brought characters to life through simple, expressive sentences that featured key nouns and adjectives, applying vocabulary and grammar to real-life contexts. These comics became a fun, artistic way for students to reinforce descriptive language while learning how to communicate in a conversational format.
