Ryan’s Rambling
Dear Families,
I hope this finds you all well. Some welcome rain but followed by some humid weather.
We are now in the middle of our Transition preparations for next year. We have been busy with the giant chessboard of classes and students. It is a monumental task, believe me! Please remember that the experience your child has with this week and last week’s classes are not the teacher or class for 2025.
Our class structure for 2025 will be as follows:
Foundation: Kym Bursill
3x 1/2 Classes: Kelly Kosloff
Sarah Schroen
Louise Brown/Kellie Healy
3x 3/4 Classes Jess Norris
Sam Bell
Kate McMillan/Brooke Cowan
4x 5/6 Classes Airlie Penny
Xavier Jones
Jess Booth
Sam Peeters
I am very confident in the amazing teams that we have selected for next year. Students will find out their class placements before the 10th of December, which is the statewide transition day.
I am also excited that our specialist roles will continue as below:
Performing Arts: Claudine Lagier
Art: Dee Clark
Japanese: Sensei Bec Wong
PE: Emma Remilton
Mental Health Leader: Kelly Healy
Literacy Intervention: Louise Brown
When I look at the names above, I can’t help but be positive about the formidable team we have for next year! Sadly, that does mean that we will be saying farewell to Ros Davine, Maya Richards and Jenna Cray. I thank Ros, Maya and Jenna for their time at Dana Street. They have all been amazing teachers at our school and it will be really sad for our community to see them go. Please make sure you touch base with them before the end of the year.
Have a fantastic weekend.
Ryan 😊
