In Prep, our focus has been on identifying and correcting run-on sentences using our knowledge of sentence structure and punctuation. Together, we edited a simple story, by identifying the 'who' and 'what doing'. 

 

This collaborative activity helped students recognise where one idea ends and another begins. Building on this, students worked independently to expand the edited sentences by adding when and where phrases, conjunctions, and extra details to create a more vivid and engaging story.
