TwistED Junior Excursion

Junior School Science Excursion:                                     A Day of Discovery at TwistED

On Monday, our junior school students embarked on an exciting science adventure at TwistED Science. The hands-on learning experience was packed with curiosity, creativity, and fun!

From interactive exhibits to engaging workshops, the students explored concepts like forces, motion, and energy in ways that brought their classroom learning to life. Highlights included building structures that could withstand an earthquake simulation, experimenting with air cannons, and solving puzzles that tested their teamwork and critical thinking skills.

The energy and enthusiasm were contagious as students embraced challenges, asked insightful questions, and marveled at the wonders of science. TwistED’s innovative approach inspired our young learners, sparking curiosity and a love for discovery.

A special thank you to our parent volunteers who helped to ensure the day ran smoothly, and to TwistED Science for providing such a stimulating and memorable experience.

TwistED Science Excursion. Written by Lucy and Archie Year 2.

We got on the bus at 9:00. When we got to TwistED Science we went into the green zone. We had 30 minutes in the green zone and there were lots of fun activities like pulling a rope and pickleballs went flying, the bubbles and music beams.

Then we went to the blue zone. There were more fun activities like rocket building, volleyball flying, and building blocks. Then we had lunch and went to the pink lab and did a water rainbow experiment and we had the best excursion ever!

On Monday, we went to Twisted Science. First I went upstairs and worked on chemicals that changed. Next, we played and my favourite bit in the green room was seeing the animals. Then we went to the blue room and I enjoyed the upside down room where Miss Correy did a handstand. I felt happy and excited with my friends. Lastly, we went home on the bus and I was partnered with Miss Correy.

Yesterday we went to Twisted Science. First, we went upstairs to learn all about science. Me and Maddie were partners. Next, we went downstairs to engineer. There was a green and blue room. My favourite colour is blue but we went to the green room first. In the green room, there was a cool bubble room. Finally, we went to the blue room. In the blue room, there was a picture booth. I felt great that day!

I love twisted science! First, I loved doing science experiments because it made different colours. Next, it was the green zone, and I saw bubbles! Then it was the blue zone, there were little enclosures with creepy crawlies. It was sooooo much fun!

On Monday, we went to Twisted Science. First, upstairs we did some experiments and learnt new things. Next, we went to the green room. My favourite activity there was where we got to take pictures with our friends. Then, we went to the blue room. My favourite thing in the blue room was when we took off our shoes and then carefully placed blue blocks, made a marble run and a slide! I felt like it was the best excursion ever!

On Monday the Grade 1’s, 2s and the teachers went on an excursion to TwistED Science. You may ask us how we got there. We got the black bus. It took 20 mins. When we got there the TwistED Science people were amazing. First, we saw out the window that group 1 went downstairs. There were so many activities to do. There were 2 rooms, the green and the blue room. It was amazing we had half an hour in each room. We started in the green room it was good. When the half an hour was up we went into the blue room. Then we went upstairs. When we got upstairs to the pink room there were lots of chemicals, it was so much fun! We made a rainbow in the pallet, I loved it!

On Monday Grades 1L, 1C and 2H went to TwistED Science. There we made a rainbow water pallet. We used acid, bases, pippets, vinegar, milk powder, antacid, sugar soap and water. Then it turned rainbow. Then we went downstairs and played in the blue zone and green zone. I liked the part where we had a ball and put it in the green pipe and it made a lot of piles of balls in a basket. Then we went to the upside down room which is when you take a photo only you’re upside down. That was in the green zone. Finally, we went back to school. It was so much fun!
