Year 12  2024  VTAC Change of Preference

Change Of Preference (COP) events and Hotlines run from when results are released on December 12th, to when VTAC closes the course preferences on December 14th at 12noon.

How to Change your Preferences:

  1. Log in to your VTAC Account -visit the VTAC website and log in using your VTAC ID and PIN
  2. Open your Preference list - navigate to the 'preferences' section on your VTAC account dashboard
  3. Add, delete, or re-order your course preferences
  4. Review, save and submit your changes (as many times as you like before 12noon on 14/12/24!)

 

Considerations when changing your preferences:

  • Your preference order matters. Organise your courses in the order you genuinely want to study them rather than just how you think you might be accepted.
  • Meet the pre-requisites. Otherwise, you are not eligible for selection.

 

Tips for making the best choices:

  • Research thoroughly: use VTAC's CourseSearchtool. Read through the COP information on university websites for suggestions for Pathways. Each institution will include information listing the courses they recommend as pathways. Take their advice! reach out and talk to them during COP.
  • Attend Change of Preference events to speak with course advisors at the institutions that you are interested in. 
  • Contact the Careers Staff at Overnewton on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th December for a conversation. We will be able to offer suggested pathways that you can include in your preference list.
