ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Strengths and Abilities Inventory

Materials: A worksheet or notebook.

Activity: Children can create a list of their abilities and strengths. Prompt them with questions like, “What are you good at?” or “What activities do you enjoy that you feel confident doing?” Encourage them to think about skills in various areas (sports, academics, arts). For e.g. “I like maths because I'm good at counting”, “I am kind because I help my friends”, "I'm good at footy because I can kick really well”.

Learning Goal: Enhance self-esteem by recognizing personal strengths.
