This week in Maths we are learning about location.

I can describe the location of an object (e.g. near, next to, behind)

 

I can give and follow directions.


VOCABULARY

Location - where things and people are in relation to themselves or other objects.

 

Positional Language - words like above, belownext toin front ofbehind, and between to describe where something is located.

Simon Says with Directions

Play a game of Simon Says with your child, but with a focus on directions. For example, “Simon says, stand behind the chair,” or “Simon says, go next to the door” or “Simon says, go under the table”. You can also include terms like left, right, above and below.
