This term, the Prep students have been learning 'What Things are Made Of' in Science. Students discovered that a natural material is something that is found in nature and can be used by people; like stone, trees, animal fur and sand. They also learned that a man-made material, is made from a natural material and is created by people, like plastics, furniture, metals or buildings.

The students then used this information to select materials and design a house to build. They had to try make a house that was strong and did not fall down. Students discovered that some materials worked really well and others did not.

GRADE 1/2 NEWS

During Term 3 we studied China as part of our integrated unit and learnt about how silk was made. This term the students in 1/2F have had the opportunity to watch some silkworms hungrily eating their mulberry leaves, which is the only thing they will eat and then spin their silk cocoon.

Christmas Concert 

All Grade 1/2 Classes, are super excited about the School Christmas Concert coming up, and have all busy practising their songst to perform.

3/4 News: 

The 3/4’s have been reading and writing scripts. Students have been looking at character development, description of settings and dialogue between characters. Students have looked at voice projection and stage presence. The students have really enjoyed performing them for their class.
