First Nations Bedtime Stories

All grades have had the chance to view 5 different "bedtime stories" in week 4. These are short 5 minute clips of, for instance, an Indigenous elder retelling a story and explaining the importance of that tale in his community. It can also be a short demonstration of how a particular tool was made and used back in the day and how effective it was, or still is.

The First Nations Bedtime stories have become a tradition. Every year in week 4 of Term 4 we are sent 5 stories, with supporting lesson material. The teachers can view 1 story every day of that week, or they can choose to watch them all together with the grade.
