From the Year 4 Classroom

Yr 4 Excursion- Glenrowan  

The students travelled to Glenrowan yesterday. They had a great time exploring all things ‘Ned Kelly’ in Glenrowan. They visited the animatronic show at Kellyland. In the show they enjoyed the sounds, smoke and noises, participated in the gun battle, joined Ned Kelly at the Melbourne gaol and got a fright or two along the way! They also enjoyed the Ned Kelly Museum and its history, artifacts, paintings and what Australia was like in the 1870’s with their homes, backyards and how they made a living. They even had two cockatoos giving cheek in the backyard, a 90yr old cockatoo and a 40yr old cockatoo and a cat! 

The students, after some morning tea, toured the Kelly Battlefield and in the Discovery Centre, they watched some short movies and went up on top of the Discovery Centre and checked out the view over the Kelly Battlefield.  

It was a great day had by all and we thank Mrs. Connell for organising. 

Yr 3 and Yr 4 Cricket Blast Carnival  

The students participated in a Cricket Blast School Cup Carnival on Monday afternoon at Vic Park. They participated in one game of Kanga 8’s. They had a bat, a bowl, kept wickets and did some fielding.  

End of Year Excursion- Yarrawonga Splash Park 

On Tuesday 17th December the Year 4's will be celebrating their year of learning at the Yarrawonga Holiday Splash Park and Playground. They will be leaving school via bus at 11.45am and returning at approximately 1.30pm. Hot chips will be provided for lunch when they return to school and an icy pole at lunchtime. We look forward to having a fun-filled day with our students and celebrating all our hard work for the year. More information will be found via P.A.M.
