Principals Report
Dear Lord, please bless our family and friends, Lord. Grant them good health, peace, healing in body, soul and spirit; may they grow closer to you all the days of their life. And may your love surround them now and forever.
Good afternoon, parents and Carers
It was great to see our Year 6s' campers arrive home safely on Friday from their Melbourne Camp. Staff, bus drivers, and facilitators praised our student's engagement, behavior, and manners. This reflects well on our school and to you, more importantly, as parents /carers. A big thank you to our staff: Kate Trembath, Bec Bridgeman, Xavier Kennedy, Dean Carroll, Kellie Ramsdale, Emma Sinclair, and Lewis McShane. Their time away from family is greatly appreciated.
I am pleased to announce Jensen Hargreaves will be joining our staff next year under the AFL traineeship program. Jensen completed year 12 in 2023 and is keen to pursue a career in education. Jensen will be working alongside Tim O’Dwyer supporting our Physical Education program and within the learning spaces.
Just a reminder for parents/ carers, when deciding on classes for 2024, our teachers consider academic achievement levels, students who work well together and students who are better separated, special learning needs, behavior and social or emotional needs. This process takes a lot of time, care, compassion, thought and trust. It is not vital for your child to be in the same class as his/her best friend. It is vital to be in a class with the best interest of your child in mind. It is very difficult to move children around once classes have been set. It is not possible to move one child as this inevitably affects that of another. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
As we approach the end of the school year, we kindly ask families to finalise their outstanding accounts. It is expected that all fees will be paid each year and not carried forward to future years unless arrangements have been discussed with the principal. As always, if fees create financial concern for you, I encourage you to make an appointment with me to discuss how we can help. Any discussion regarding fees is strictly confidential.
Currently we have had an increasing number of COVID cases reported to the school. If your child is unwell and is showing symptoms, please keep them at home until the symptoms subside, as it is still highly contagious.
Congratulations to Caity, Beau and Emma who welcomed the beautiful Ellie Anne into the Seymour family. Ellie was born on November 7th, weighing 3.8kg
Take Care
