Newlands Out of School Hours Care - Adjustment to 2025 Fee Structure

 

Dear Families,

 

We appreciate your continued support and trust in Newlands Out of School Hours Care. Over the past several months, the Newlands Primary School Council have analysed the OSHC service’s financial situation and rising costs.

 

Since the current fee structure was introduced 3 years ago, income from the OSHC service has been invested in the following:

  • Rostering of additional staff above the minimum ratio, to better ensure children’s safety and care needs are met
  • Additional resources for planned and free play activities
  • A more varied and substantial weekly menu for children
  • Maintenance to our building and grounds

The decision to raise our fees was made after careful consideration of various factors, including inflation, increased operating expenses, and the need to maintain the quality of our OSHC service which includes additional funding to the C-Block. Our School Council did not take this decision lightly and our aim, as always, is to provide a high-quality education and care program that children and families enjoy.

The following charges will come into effect on the first school day of 2025, Thursday 30th January.

 

Before School Care - Routine Session: $27 per child

Before School Care - Casual Session: $29.50 per child

Families claiming the Child Care Subsidy will pay between $4.05 and $29.50

 

After School Care - Routine Session: $29.50 per child

After School Care - Casual Session: $34.50 per child

Families claiming the Child Care Subsidy will pay between $4.42 and $34.50

 

Pupil Free Days: $70 per child

Families claiming the Child Care Subsidy will pay between $10.50 and $70

Any additional charges to cover special activities will be communicated in advance. These are also covered in part by the Child Care Subsidy.

 

Late Pick Up Fee: $1 per minute after 6:00pm (no Child Care Subsidy reduction)
