Year 3/4 Campout

The Year 3/4 Charlton Campout was an unforgettable adventure packed with fun activities! Students enjoyed a variety of outdoor games and challenges, including lawn bowls, croquet, and bike riding at the jumps park. They also cooled off with a swim at Wooroonook Lakes and tested their creativity with kite making and hut building.

The evenings were filled with the classic camp activity of roasting marshmallows over the fire, playing night games with torches, and winding down with a movie. Tennis, golf, and team challenges were also a hit, with students showing off their skills and working together to complete each task.

Thank you to the teachers, parents, and volunteers who helped make this campout a memorable experience.

First Aid Awareness Training

Monday 2nd December (week 9) primary students will take part in a First Aid Awareness session. The session times will be:

3-6 students - 10:00am to 10:55am.

F-2 students  - 11:15am to 12:05pm.

Students will learn the very basics of First Aid such as calling 000 in an emergency. We will also be lucky enough to have the Ambulance onsite for students to get to check out. Now is a fantastic time to see if your child knows their address in the event of an emergency. We’d greatly appreciate if over the coming weeks families could make some time to discuss with their child their home address.

Transition days

Over the last few weeks, transition days have been in full swing. Our 2025 Foundation students have completed 2 out of 3 transition days preparing our future students for success next year. This Friday, 22nd November, our 2025 Foundation students will have their last transition day which will be from 9:00am until 12:55pm.

Our Year 6 students also completed their first transition day on Wednesday, preparing students for a smooth transition into high school. The students will complete another healthy headspace transition day on Wednesday 27th November before their final transition day on Wednesday 11th of December.

F-2 Science

Our budding scientists took on the role of Sound Technicians last week. They learnt that the sounds you hear in movies, aren’t actually what you are looking at. For example, someone walking in snow is simulated by walking in sand. During last week’s class students used a variety of objects to re-create the sounds heard in a thunderstorm. There was definitely plenty of noise!
