Year 5 and 6 STEM Squad’s MRT Robotics Project

The STEM Squad has been hard at work preparing for MRT Robotics, with the deadline quickly approaching at the end of the term! The journey has already begun with the team purchasing and organising the parts needed to bring their robot to life. With boxes and containers filled with gears, wheels, beams, wires and other pieces, the team has had to carefully sort through everything and work out what parts are needed.

Now, the real challenge has begun, building the robots! Team members have been working together to connect pieces, test different designs and figure out how everything fits together. Some parts have worked perfectly, while others have required a bit of experimenting and rebuilding. The team has also been using technology to help plan and control their robots, making sure they can complete the tasks required for MRT Robotics.  With the end of term deadline getting closer, there is still plenty to do. Every gear, wire and piece of the robot could make a difference.

The STEM Squad is continuing to build, test, improve and problem solve, hoping their hard work will pay off when it is finally time to put their robots to the test!
