Year Three Team News

with Katja, Carmel, Rochelle & Mary

Hello Year Three families,

On Tuesday, the Year 3 to 6 classes went down to the Newport Athletics track to compete in the House Athletics sports participating in the various events, in their age groups, and representing their house colour. Our students demonstrated that Willy Kids are sporty kids!

This week, we have been busy completing several assessment tasks for reporting purposes. These will continue next week, so we ask that the students are well-rested in preparation for this.

Coming up in Week 9, on Friday 14th June

This term we are exploring the inquiry question 'How Can We Care For Our Health and Wellbeing?' To assist us in finding out, Proactivity will be running a 'Ninja Warrior' incursion which includes an obstacle course, inflatable zorb chamber, giant Earth ball, tug of war and karate fitness. During this incursion, our Year 3s will be examining the benefits of physical activity and fitness to health and wellbeing. They will also perform movement sequences, which link to fundamental movement skills as well as combine the elements of effort, space, time, objects, and people when performing movement sequences.

*Please keep an eye out on Compass for when you can give consent and make payment at your earliest convenience.
