Although last week was a short week we packed a lot into it!

When planning activities we aim to tie them in with special occasions/celebrations and link to themes occurring in the school. To commemorate ANZAC Day on Thursday, students traced their handprints and put together a memorial wreath, made ANZAC slice and decorated biscuits to look like poppies. During breakfast it was great to hear chatter about what ANZAC day means and how the students have connections to this day.

Our veggie garden space has continued on its journey to becoming a fun and functional space and our entrance is also receiving a makeover which you may have noticed this week when picking up or dropping off. We are on the look out for fabric potting bags next so if you have some clues where we might find them please get in touch with Lexi.

Finally, for the first time since COVID, our curriculum day ran and by all reports students had a lovely relaxed day in the care of our fantastic educators. Pancakes were a hit as always, this is a Friday morning tradition at OSHC, and curriculum day was no exception.

Children built structures with LEGO, danced away with Just Dance, dressed up as movie characters with our dress ups, turned into scientists during ‘Slime Time’ and archaeologists digging up treasure in the sandpit.

A success with everyone.
