Around The Primary

Dear Families

On Wednesday morning the Years 3 to 12 students participated in an ANZAC Ceremony to honour all Australian soldiers who have served in conflicts and peacekeeping missions.  During the past one hundred and forty years, more than 100,000 Australian lives have been lost in service.  Some of our families have loved ones who died in services, and we remember them with love and gratitude.

Let us remember that many former students of John XXIII, Loreto and St Louis have served in twentieth century conflicts and peacekeeping missions.  Their names are on the College honour board. May we always remember them and never take for granted the freedom, democracy and the peace we enjoy in Australia today.

Thank you for participating in the 2024 Caritas fundraising initiative for Project Compassion. We are very proud to announce that we have raised $2447.10.

We feel blessed to be part of such a loving and supportive school community.  Thank you for your generosity.

Primary House Day

On Friday 3 May we are celebrating Primary House Day. This involves the students participating in activities to learn about the House founders of John XXIII College and to commemorate the House to which they will belong throughout their time at the College.

As part of these celebrations, our Year Six leaders will also be holding a 'Monster Cake Stall' to raise funds for Lifelink.  Details to follow.

During the day, each class will be participating in a special incursion or sporting activity.
