Principal's Report

Dear Monash SDS community,

Welcome back to school for Term 2! I hope you all had a restful break and returned feeling rejuvenated and ready for the new term. It warms my heart to see so many smiling faces back at school, eager to continue their learning journey with us.

We have kicked off the term very settled, and it is fantastic to witness the enthusiasm and energy our students bring to the classroom. I was delighted to see our students thoroughly enjoying the Wellbeing show incursion during the first week back. It was a great experience for everyone involved.

In staffing news, I am pleased to announce that we have employed a new teacher for Group 9 - Kirra Beacom. Please join me in welcoming her to Monash SDS. Additionally, we will soon be welcoming an ES Lauren Joyce, who will be starting shortly. We look forward to the contributions they will make to our school community.

Our Student Representative Council (SRC) has been very busy lately. They actively helped organise the sports day at the end of Term 1, they have reminded our school community of our weekly expectations and this week they have been selling ANZAC badges and have raised over $100. Well done!!

As we continue through Term 2, let's work together to make it a successful and fulfilling term for all.

Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to our school community.
