Junior School  Report

A Positive Start to the Term!

It has been a fantastic return to Term 2, with students across Years 7 to 9 showing great commitment to our school values of Respect, Determination, and Excellence. Classrooms are buzzing with learning, and our school community continues to build strong, positive habits.

At our Term 2 welcome back assembly, we proudly celebrated students who achieved 100% attendance in Term 1. A fantastic effort – well done!

We also took the opportunity to revisit important school expectations, including:

Woodmans Hill Secondary College Uniform Policy – Wearing academic uniform correctly is an important way for students to show pride in their school and feel a sense of belonging within our community.

Daily routines – We are continuing with our consistent entry and exit routines each day, helping to build a calm, focused start and finish to learning.

Students were also reminded of our Woodmans Hill Secondary College Camp, Excursion and Functions Attendance Policy, which outlines the importance of full participation in all school events.

Junior School in Action!

This term the students have already been involved in a wide range of activities including:

  • Cross Country

  • Eureka Athletics Day

  • Interschool Netball competition

We’re proud of the effort and enthusiasm shown by all students representing Woodmans Hill Secondary College.

Our Year 9 students also participated in a Wellbeing Day, the day gave students the opportunity to discuss unique challenges, build self-awareness and be provided with a safe space to develop social/emotional tools to help foster connectedness with themselves and the people around them. They finished the week with a fantastic excursion to Melbourne Cable Park – a great mix of challenge and fun.
