Teaching & Learning Report

On Wednesday 7th May, we had our Professional Learning day focused on how we presented new information during lessons. This instructional strategy is often referred to as Chunking.

Chunking new information is an important technique in learning because it helps break down complex or what could be overwhelming material into smaller, more manageable parts, making it easier for the brain to process and remember.

Chunking is important because it helps improve memory retention, meaning it is easier to recall information that has been broken down into smaller parts.

Some student leaders attended this day with the intention of learning alongside our staff. Student leaders were given the opportunity to provide feedback and be a part of meaningful discussions.
