Year 12 Report

Claire Blower

After a well-earned break, it’s been fantastic to welcome our Year 12 students back for Term 2. We’re hitting the ground running, and it’s great to see students refreshed and ready to tackle the challenges ahead this term.

Last week, the Year 12 VCE:VM class kicked off the term with the VCE:VM Hike Camp, joined by Miss B, Ms Hollands and Mrs McClure. The group embraced the great outdoors and braved the cold with plenty of laughs, teamwork, and a few sore legs along the way! A big shout-out to Luke Stanley-Horoch, affectionately named “Camp Dad” for his leadership, care and amazing camp fire playlist. Another special mention goes to Sumer Witcomb, whose resilience stood out—she gave her best every step of the way. And let’s not forget Marcus Mirarchi, who tackled his very first camping trip with a great attitude and managed to “make it out alive”. An awesome effort and display of our school values by all involved!

Looking ahead, Term 2 is packed with exciting events and educational opportunities. We’ve got One Last Science and Cooking Lessons, the General Achievement Test (GAT), our second cohort dress up day, the highly anticipated Senior Social, and of course, the ultimate showdown—Year 12 vs. Teachers Basketball Game (GO TEACHERS)! There’s plenty to look forward to, so stay engaged and involved.

As we settle into the term, don’t forget the importance of consistency. Studying and reviewing your work each week—not just in the lead-up to assessments—builds strong understanding and helps reduce stress. Keep up your habits, stay organised, and ask for support when you need it. You’ve got this!

Let’s make it a strong and successful term!
